Stainless steel flanges offer the best support for the biggest projects.
Railing Flange Specifications
Floor flanges should be significantly heavier than wall flanges. While light pipe railings may only require flanges with two to three drilled connection points, floor flanges should be connected by six or more drilled points. Most stainless steel flanges are made to support heavy railing systems, giving installers the assurance that the railing is safe and secure.Floor flanges are usually a great deal larger and heavier than wall flanges, and as a result are a bit more expensive. These flanges are typically placed four feet apart to provide adequate support to the overall structure. For extremely heavy railing, anchors may be used to provide additional support, especially for safety railing used on balconies and other high-risk areas.
